Ứng dụng kế toán MFTECH chạy SQL Server trên AWS, cần một domain Active Directory trên AWS và trust với AD on-premises để nhân viên single sign-on vào tài nguyên ở cả hai domain. Phương án phù hợp là AWS Managed Microsoft AD (Phần 2). Các lựa chọn dưới đây cũng có chữ “directory” hoặc “AD” nhưng không đáp ứng yêu cầu này. Chọn từng mục để xem phạm vi sử dụng.

AD ConnectorDùng khi

Proxy chuyển tiếp yêu cầu đăng nhập tới domain controller on-premises; người dùng on-premises đăng nhập ứng dụng và dịch vụ AWS bằng thông tin đăng nhập AD hiện có (existing corporate credentials), không cần đồng bộ thư mục. Hỗ trợ seamless domain join EC2 instance vào domain on-premises.

Vì sao không chọn trong tình huống này

AD Connector không tạo domain trên AWS nên không có domain nào để thiết lập trust, và không tương thích với RDS for SQL Server.

Phương án phù hợp

AWS Managed Microsoft AD: Active Directory thực sự do AWS vận hành, chạy workload phụ thuộc AD như SQL Server và thiết lập trust với AD on-premises.

Several user-directory services have similar names; each serves a different group of users and a different kind of integration.

MFTECH’s accounting application runs SQL Server on AWS and needs an Active Directory domain on AWS with a trust to the on-premises AD, so employees get single sign-on to resources in either domain. The right option is AWS Managed Microsoft AD (Part 2). The options below also carry the word “directory” or “AD” but do not meet this requirement. Select each item to see what it is for.

AD ConnectorDùng khi

A proxy that forwards sign-in requests to on-premises domain controllers; on-premises users sign in to AWS applications and services with their existing AD credentials, with no directory synchronization. Supports seamless domain join of EC2 instances to the on-premises domain.

AD Connector creates no domain on AWS, so there is no domain to set up a trust with, and it is not compatible with RDS for SQL Server.

AWS Managed Microsoft AD: an actual Active Directory operated by AWS that runs AD-aware workloads such as SQL Server and sets up trusts with the on-premises AD.
