CloudFront, S3 Transfer Acceleration và AWS Global Accelerator
AWS có nhiều dịch vụ cùng dùng mạng edge toàn cầu để giảm độ trễ và tăng throughput; mỗi dịch vụ phù hợp với một loại traffic khác nhau.
Ba dịch vụ cùng sử dụng mạng edge của AWS nhưng phục vụ các mục đích khác nhau. Cơ chế failover của Global Accelerator đã được trình bày trong bài Global Infrastructure; phần này tổng hợp tiêu chí lựa chọn theo yêu cầu.
Hỗ trợ HTTP/HTTPS, có cache tại edge.
- Cache nội dung web: CloudFront.
- Tăng tốc truyền dữ liệu đường dài tới/từ bucket S3 (điển hình là tải lên tập trung): S3 Transfer Acceleration.
- Giao thức UDP, địa chỉ IP tĩnh hoặc failover giữa các Region: AWS Global Accelerator.
CloudFront, S3 Transfer Acceleration and AWS Global Accelerator
Several AWS services use the global edge network to reduce latency and increase throughput; each suits a different kind of traffic.
The three services all use the AWS edge network but serve different purposes. Global Accelerator failover was covered in the Global Infrastructure lesson; this part summarizes the selection criteria by requirement.
Supports HTTP/HTTPS, with caching at the edge.
- Caching web content: CloudFront.
- Accelerating long-distance transfers to/from an S3 bucket (typically centralized uploads): S3 Transfer Acceleration.
- UDP, static IP addresses or failover between Regions: AWS Global Accelerator.
