Storage Gateway: ứng dụng on-premises sử dụng lưu trữ AWS
Không phải hệ thống nào cũng chuyển ngay lên cloud được; một gateway triển khai on-premises cho phép ứng dụng hiện có sử dụng lưu trữ trên AWS mà không phải thay đổi ứng dụng.
Storage Gateway được triển khai tại kho dưới dạng máy ảo (VM). Đối với ứng dụng hiện có, gateway cung cấp iSCSI volume, file share NFS/SMB hoặc virtual tape library (VTL), trong khi dữ liệu thực tế được lưu trên AWS. Chọn từng loại gateway để xem luồng dữ liệu:
- File share lưu trên S3: S3 File Gateway. iSCSI volume với dữ liệu chính trên AWS: Volume Gateway cached volumes; dữ liệu chính on-premises: stored volumes.
- Thay thế tape library vật lý: Tape Gateway.
Storage Gateway: on-premises applications using AWS storage
Not every system can move to the cloud at once; a gateway deployed on premises lets existing applications use AWS storage without application changes.
Storage Gateway is deployed at the warehouse as a virtual machine (VM). To existing applications, the gateway presents iSCSI volumes, NFS/SMB file shares or a virtual tape library (VTL), while the data itself is stored on AWS. Choose each gateway type to see the data flow:
- A file share stored on S3: S3 File Gateway. iSCSI volumes with the primary data on AWS: Volume Gateway cached volumes; with the primary data on premises: stored volumes.
- Replacing a physical tape library: Tape Gateway.
